Four decades in the Atlantic

The sea as a craft

Salimar (San Antonio Alimentos del Mar S.L.) is born in Redondela in 2004 with one clear objective: minimally-processed seafood for professionals and home cooks. From the first day, the objective has been the same: to bring Galician scallop and queen scallop to food service and distribution kitchens with minimal processing and maximum freshness.

Process and production

Each piece goes through rigorous quality control before processing. We work with three methods: individual quick freezing (IQF), vacuum sealing and fresh chilled product. The objective in all cases is the same: the flavour of the sea arrives intact.

Producto gallego, elaboración mínima, comercio directo. Cada paso está diseñado para que la vieira llegue a tu cocina como salió del mar.

I

Producto

Vieira (Pecten maximus) y volandeira (Aequipecten opercularis) de las Rías Gallegas. Captura controlada, cadena de frío ininterrumpida, trazabilidad completa desde el muelle hasta la planta.

II

Elaboración

Procesado mínimo en planta propia en Redondela. IQF individual, media concha, carne limpia, envasado al vacío. Marca blanca o marca Salimar. El producto sale listo para cocina profesional.

Comercio

Distribución nacional e internacional. Restaurantes, retail especializado, industria alimentaria. Documentación sanitaria, certificaciones, logística en frío controlado.
